We love to open up our facilities to the community! From theatre seating for up to 1000, to intimate spaces for small groups, we offer a variety of venues to accommodate your special event, conference, and celebration requirements. Our facilities also include an informal fireside room, a kitchen, gymnasium and classrooms.

We have experience hosting large events and concerts, with celebrated guests such as Paul Brandt, Bryan Adams, Tom Jackson, Johnny Reid, George Canyon and the late Rita McNeil. We have also had the pleasure of accommodating large day conferences and events for Brock University, Future Access and the DSBN, including several high school graduations each year.

Fireside Room

Located on the main floor, this carpeted room is private and features a gas fireplace. The Fireside Room is approximately 38′ wide x 60′ long (2280 sq. ft.). This room has played host to many bridal showers, birthday parties, family gatherings and can also function as a classroom. The Fireside Room can be rented with or without the adjacent kitchen for catering large meetings, luncheons or dinners. A large north facing window provides wonderful natural light. A large, retractable screen and a ceiling mounted projector are also available for use. Users will need to bring in their own laptops. Chairs and tables are available at no extra cost. A sound system is available at a minimal cost.

Suitable for:

  • Up to 160 people theatre-style for weddings and services.
  • Up to 100 people in a classroom style for presentations and lectures.
  • Up to 120 people seated at round tables for a dinner.


The Café is an open-access café (not a private event space), located on the Main Floor adjacent to our Main Foyer. This space can accommodate 50 people in a set up that includes 10 tables with 4 chairs each, and one harvest table that seats 10. It is a popular common space used for various events and features an adjoining kitchenette equipped with a sink, fridge, microwave, and two commercial-sized coffee makers.

Resource Centre

Located on the main floor in the Foyer, the carpeted Resource Centre is approximately 25.5′ wide x 26.5′ long (596 sq. ft.), with a table and 6-8 chairs.

The library is a cozy and comfortable meeting place with a capacity for up to 20 people. This area is ideal for small groups (i.e. book study groups, small classes or prayer meetings) and casual meetings requiring a work table. The library is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Users will need to bring their own laptops.


Located on the main floor, the Foyer is approximately 96′ wide x 48′ long (4608sq. ft), with high ceilings, large windows and doors (south exposure) and carpeted floor. Large, bright space that is great for receptions, exhibition shows, and social gatherings with handy kitchenette and Café close by. Two wide staircases on either side of the Foyer lead up to the second level of the Auditorium, as well as additional classroom spaces and Mezzanine area. Two flat screen monitors are mounted in both corners of the Foyer, offering live feed streaming or video presentations. The Foyer also houses a large Welcome Centre and 6 kiosks for your use. For large groups, a microphone & speaker are available at a minimal cost. The Foyer is used year-round for worship services on Saturday evenings/Sunday mornings (until 1 pm) and Friday evenings for our Celebrate Recovery program and will therefore be unable to rent during these times.

  • Up to 25 exhibition booths (8’ x 10’) for Trade shows. Tables (6’ long x 2.5’ wide) are available for booths or displays.


The kitchen opens to the Gymnasium and can be used to make coffee and tea or in conjunction with the Fireside Room for dinners and banquet events. There are two industrial-sized gas oven/ranges. With two areas of double sinks and an industrial dishwasher, cleanup can be quick and easy. Lots of counter space allows for many work stations. The kitchen can also be used for small cooking classes, food-oriented fundraising events and catered dining events. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, utensils and dining ware. Use of these items is included in the rental fee.


Located in the older portion of the building, our newly renovated gymnasium features a large, (48′ x 84′) air-conditioned, open space suitable for art rehearsals, performances, craft and book sales, rummage sales, workshops, birthday parties, public meetings, receptions and of course, sporting events too! Tables and chairs are available for use with this space. The full-size gymnasium features a newly installed hardwood floor, basketball nets, a stage with lighting, sound capabilities and equipment for basketball, volleyball, badminton, floor hockey or just plain fun.

There are eleven classrooms available for rent throughout the church building. They are excellent as break-out rooms, used in conjunction with one of our larger rooms, or for small, private meetings. The rooms vary in size. The capacity of the smallest room is 8 -10 people and the largest room can hold up to 115 people theatre-style. Each room receives good natural light and is carpeted.


The Auditorium is a 1,050-seat music performance venue built in 2003. The stage is a thrust stage that is 44′ wide in the front and 55′ wide in the back by 25′ deep. There are rigging points to fly tour sound and lighting along with state-of-the-art sound system, stage lighting, and video.

This space with concert quality acoustics has wrap-around seating that affords excellent sight lines. Padded and upholstered audience theatre seats offer comfort and support. This is our primary worship space, but the Auditorium has been used as a venue for public meetings, seminars, theatrical presentations and music performances.

With a large automated screen, integrated high-definition cameras, a complete audio-visual system and live-streaming capabilities, the Auditorium is equipped to provide users with high-end sound, lighting and videography for any event.

We are equipped with PowerPoint and ProPresenter capabilities in the Auditorium.

Additional lighting and sound may be brought in for an event, but it is the responsibility of the user to set up and tear down their own lighting and sound upon written permission of the Facility & Events Coordinator. Renter must pay additional cost of one of Bethany’s sound technicians to be present while in the Auditorium.

We have a drum set that may be used for an event, at an additional cost to the renter. Drums can be removed from the stage with prior arrangements at an additional cost.

Additional costs may include parking attendants, hosts, house manager, sound technicians and custodians.

Generally, the Auditorium is available most days of the week, EXCEPT Friday evening, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning until 1 pm for church services and congregational use. Please contact Facility & Event’s Coordinator for further details on availability.

Rates vary depending on the nature of the event, size of event, and ticket sales. A Certificate of Insurance for a $2 million dollar liability insurance is required for all bookings.


Perfect for family reunions, business picnics, church outdoor services/fellowship meals, and birthday parties, our (60’ x 80’) Outdoor Pavilion is available for rent from May through October. Our open Pavilion boasts a concrete floor and is equipped with hydro. All rentals include picnic tables. A propane barbeque unit is also available at an additional rental fee. Our new playground is located right beside the Pavilion. All table linens, chair coverings, cutlery, plates and serving dishes are the responsibility of the renter. The kitchen in Bethany Church may be available by request and at an additional cost for storing foods in the refrigerator, making coffee/tea and catering. Washrooms are available during the summer months in the Pavilion.
