One way we can cultivate community at Bethany is gathering together to play sports. The church hosts a variety of sports each week for adults, depending on the season. Some of them are pick-up games where you can drop in any week, while others require registration.
Friday Night Volleyball and Ball Hockey
Starting on Friday, October 12th and continuing each Friday until March, there will be alternating weeks of Volleyball & Ball Hockey from 7-10pm in the Bethany Gym.
Open to men and women (16+). Cost for the season is $10/person for volleyball and $20/person for ball hockey.
From May to Aug, Bethany adult slow-pitch happens at various diamonds in Niagara Falls. Games are held on weeknights. Bethany usually signs up several teams in a co-ed church league for adults (age 16+) with other local churches. Some experience is required. This is a great chance to meet others from Bethany and the community, and get some exercise! Cost is approx. $40/season.
It is a well-known fact that indulging in aerobic activity, like badminton, gives multiple health benefits and promotes longevity. Playing badminton can help keep you feeling well, strong, motivated, enthusiastic and young. If you’re looking for some exercise and to make some new friends join us on Wednesdays, 8:30-10:30 pm. This coed event, happening in the Bethany gym, is for anyone age 16+.
Adult co-ed, pick-up basketball happening every Sunday evening from 7-9 pm in the Bethany gym. All are welcome to come on out and get some exercise and have some fun!
