This weekend, we are going to launch off of the theological foundation we’ve talked about for the past couple weeks on how we are beloved dust. And, what we’re going to do is learn how to pray.
Because, prayer can be hard. Prayer can be difficult.
In church, prayer is something we often expect people to know how to do, without actually teaching them how to do. But, the truth is this, prayer can be taught. You can grow in the practice of prayer. You can learn the rhythms of prayer. And, while it isn’t always easy, (what worthwhile thing ever is?), it’s also incredibly life-giving.
So, I’m going to do my best to teach you how to start and begin with prayer. To do this, I want to share with you four foundational kinds of prayer that should form your prayer life. I want to give you some forms of prayer that will help to form you in prayer.
And, I hope you can join us, whether you are experienced with prayer or new to it. Whether you love it or struggle with it. Because, what I believe is this: All of us can grow in prayer, and that’s worth learning together.
