Summer Staff Spotlight: Designing a Home with Cassie
Hey Everyone! My name is Cassie and I am working at Bethany this summer as the Communications Assistant.
I have always been passionate about designing and creating. I started coming to Bethany consistently after Easter in 2022 with my Fiancé and his family. Back then, I was struggling in my relationship with God and Bethany really opened my eyes on the connection I could have with Him. That fall we joined a Home Church, and we really integrated ourselves in the Bethany Community. When trying to figure out what kind of Graphic Design I wanted to pursue, I knew I wanted to make a difference and provide more inclusive designs here in Niagara. I needed a career change and that’s when I found the job listing to work at Bethany for the summer.
When the opportunity to work here at Bethany came up I could not refuse. Working at a place where I feel like my designs could make a difference and help others come to know Christ is an amazing feeling. Currently, Evan and I are exploring new ways to refresh the church's brand to focus on what we are all about right now and this is one of the summer projects I am super excited about, including the website redesign!
Joining the Bethany Community has been an amazing experience for me. I have made everlasting friendships in my role here and also made strong connections not only with Christ, but other followers in my Home Church. Being a part of Bethany has changed my life in so many positive ways and it has helped me grow so much spiritually. Finding a community whose goal is to help you know that you belong and are loved is what drew me to Bethany and it no longer feels like just a community to me, it feels like home.
With this being said, I have used my experience here at Bethany to our advantage with the brand refresh. Even though I have only been going to Bethany with my partner for a year and half, I feel like a valued member of the family and we want to show that everyone belongs here; that Bethany is their Home built here in Niagara.
